Web Safety Palette

Most web designers/developers know their sites will look different on different platforms and different browsers. However, there are 216 colors that almost all systems display the same. The following table contains the 216 standard web colors. By using any of these colors to set the font, background or link colors, the colors should appear the same on almost every platform in almost every browser. It is also a great resource to match your HTML-specified colors with the colors in your images.

To determine the hexidecimal value of a color, simply move your cursor over the color. The value will appear at the bottom of your browser window.
