Good Interface Design
After seeing it on a colleague's desk, I decided to pick up a copy of Steve Krug's Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, 2nd Edition. While I'm not a great designer, I have always considered myself pretty good at arranging page elements and page flow, so I was very interested in getting some more expert advice in that area. This book is great! It is well-written, concise and uses good visuals.
I'm just over halfway through and have gotten several useful tips that I will incorporate into my new site design which I am currently working on.
The book does a great job of giving you insight into how the average site visitor goes about doing things, which we all know is almost always different than what we think they should do.
